Giorgio Napolitano, Vice-President of the European Movement elected President of the Italian Republic
 Pat Cox, the President of the European Movement International and the former President of the European Parliament congratulated Giorgio Napolitano on his election to the Presidency of the Italian Republic.
In his official message Pat Cox emphasized “the invaluable contribution of Giorgio Napolitano to the work of the Italian Council of the European Movement, his outstanding commitment as Vice-President of the European Movement International and the political leadership on the Constitutional Treaty demonstrated during his work in the European Parliament.”
“The European Movement is particularly pleased with the election of Giorgio Napolitano, as it represents the crowning of a political career so positively dedicated to Europe.”
“We are sure that his devotion to Europe will continue through his new mandate as President of the Italian Republic and I wish him all the success,” concluded Pat Cox.

Giorgio Napolitano, Vice-président du Mouvement Européen, élu Président de la République d’Italie
Pat Cox, Président du Mouvement Européen International et ancien Président du Parlement européen a félicité Giorgio Napolitano pour son élection en tant que Président de la République italienne.
Dans son message officiel, Pat Cox a mis en avant « l’inestimable contribution de Giorgio Napolitano dans son travail au sein du Conseil italien du Mouvement Européen, son engagement exceptionnel en tant que Vice-président du Mouvement Européen International et son leadership politique lors de son travail au Parlement européen sur le Traité constitutionnel. »
“Le Mouvement Européen est particulièrement heureux de l’élection de Giorgio Napolitano, car celle-ci représente le couronnement d’une carrière politique si positivement dévouée à l’Europe.»
